How We Got Started
A few years back, we were constantly juggling PDF files for work. Converting documents, merging reports, compressing files to email them - you know the drill. The tools out there were either slow, complicated, or wanted us to sign up for yet another subscription.
So we thought, why not build something better? Something fast, straightforward, and free. Not because we're saints, but because that's what we'd want to use ourselves.
We started with a simple PDF converter. Then added a few more tools. Before we knew it, we had a whole suite of utilities that people actually found useful. That was the real surprise - not just us, but thousands of others were facing the same frustrations.
Today, millions of people use WoowPDF every month. Students finishing assignments at 2 AM. Small business owners preparing invoices. Remote workers sharing documents. It's humbling, honestly. We never set out to build something this big, but here we are.
The funny thing is, we still use our own tools daily. That keeps us honest. When something doesn't work right, we feel it too. When we add a new feature, it's usually because we needed it ourselves first.

How We Actually Work
We're not your typical tech company. No ping pong tables or mandatory fun Fridays. We're a remote team spread across time zones, connected by Slack and a shared dislike of overly complicated software.
Most of us have "real jobs" during the day. We work on WoowPDF in the evenings, on weekends, whenever we can carve out time. It's not always easy, but it keeps us grounded. We remember what it's like to need these tools because we still need them ourselves.
We test everything ourselves first. If a tool takes more than a few clicks, we simplify it. If something breaks, we fix it fast. We read every email from users - yes, every single one. Some of our best features came from those suggestions.
Our code isn't perfect. Our designs could be better. We're learning as we go. But we're committed to making this work, one PDF at a time.

People ask us this all the time. "How do you make money?" Honestly, we don't - at least not from the basic tools. We cover our server costs through optional premium features for businesses and power users.
But the core tools? Those stay free. Always. Because we remember being students with no budget. We remember starting our first business and counting every dollar. We remember needing help and finding it behind a paywall.
