TIFF to PDF Converter (Multi-Page TIFF Supported)
Convert TIFF and multi-page TIFF files to PDF with every page kept. Fax and scanner TIFFs keep their original quality and real paper size.
Most tools never upload your files
How to convert a TIFF file to PDF
TIFF is still the standard output of document scanners, fax servers, medical imaging and archive systems. It is also awkward: phones and browsers often cannot open it, email systems block it, and a multi-page TIFF shows only its first page in most viewers. TIFF to PDF turns any TIFF or TIF file into a normal PDF that everyone can open, with every page of a multi-page TIFF kept in order and the original image quality untouched.
How to convert TIFF to PDF
- Add your TIFF files. Drop .tif or .tiff files onto the page or click Choose files. Add several to join them.
- Choose the page size. Same as image keeps the real paper size stored in the scan. A4 or Letter fits each page onto a standard sheet.
- Set a margin if you want one. None, small or large.
- Convert. Click Convert to PDF and download the document.
What is supported
| TIFF feature | Result in the PDF |
|---|---|
| Multi-page TIFF | One PDF page per TIFF page |
| CCITT G3 and G4 fax | Copied as is, crisp and small |
| JPEG compressed | Copied as is, no second compression |
| LZW, Deflate, PackBits, none | Decoded and stored losslessly |
| Color models | Black and white, gray, palette, RGB, CMYK, transparency on white |
| Resolution | DPI from the file sets the page size |
Quality without the bloat
Many converters decode a TIFF and save it again as a large JPEG, which blurs small text and makes fax pages heavy. This tool keeps the original data whenever PDF can display it directly: fax pages stay as compact black and white images, JPEG pages are not compressed twice, and everything else is stored with lossless compression. A 20 page fax often becomes a PDF of only a few hundred kilobytes.
Private conversion
Scanned documents are often sensitive: contracts, invoices, medical records, ID copies. The whole conversion runs inside your browser, so the files are never sent to a server and nothing is stored after you close the page.
Who uses it
Offices that receive faxes as TIFF attachments, people who scanned paperwork with an office multifunction printer, medical and legal staff exporting records from archive systems, photographers sharing proofs, and anyone whose phone cannot preview a .tif file. Converting to PDF makes these pages easy to read on any device, attach to an email, sign, fill in or upload to a portal that only accepts PDF. Because the original scan data is reused rather than recompressed, a converted fax looks exactly like the original and the file is usually smaller than the TIFF itself.
Tips
- Want the text to be searchable and copyable? Run the new PDF through PDF OCR.
- Need the opposite? PDF to TIFF creates a multi-page TIFF from any PDF.
- Scans too heavy for an upload portal? Use Compress PDF.
- Mixing TIFF with JPG or PNG photos? Convert those with Images to PDF and join everything with Merge PDF.
Features
- Every page of a multi-page TIFF becomes a page of the PDF
- Fax TIFFs (CCITT Group 3 and 4) are placed without recompression, so text stays crisp
- Reads LZW, Deflate, PackBits, JPEG and uncompressed TIFFs in color, gray or black and white
- Uses the DPI stored in the file, so a scanned A4 page stays A4
- Combine several TIFF files into one PDF, or fit pages to A4 or Letter
- Converted in your browser: the files are never uploaded
Frequently asked questions
Does it convert all pages of a multi-page TIFF?
Yes. Each page (image) stored in the TIFF becomes one page of the PDF, in the same order. Small preview thumbnails that some scanners add are skipped.
Will a fax TIFF lose quality?
No. Black and white fax images compressed with CCITT Group 3 or Group 4 are copied into the PDF as they are, because PDF supports the same compression. The pages look identical and the file stays small.
Which TIFF types are supported?
Uncompressed, LZW, Deflate, PackBits, JPEG and CCITT fax TIFFs, in black and white, grayscale, palette, RGB and CMYK, as single images, strips or tiles. Very old style JPEG TIFFs and BigTIFF files are not supported.
What page size will the PDF have?
With Same as image the page size comes from the resolution stored in the TIFF, so a 300 DPI scan of an A4 sheet becomes an A4 page. You can also fit every page onto A4 or US Letter with a margin.
Are my TIFF files uploaded?
No. The TIFF is decoded and the PDF is built in your browser, so scans of contracts, invoices or medical letters never leave your device.
Can I merge several TIFF files into one PDF?
Yes. Add all of them, put them in order and they are joined into a single PDF, page after page.
