How to insert pages into a PDF
Forgot to add the signed annex to a contract, need a blank page before each chapter, or want to slip a photo of a receipt into an expense report? Insert Pages into PDF adds blank pages, the pages of another PDF, or an image exactly where you want them. Click the gap between two pages, choose what to insert, and save. Your original pages are kept as they are, and everything runs in your browser, so neither file is uploaded.
How to insert pages into a PDF
- Open your PDF. Drop the file onto the page or click Choose file. Thumbnails of every page appear in a row.
- Choose what to insert. Pick Blank pages and set how many, or Pages from a file and choose a PDF, JPG, PNG or WebP.
- Choose where. Click the plus sign between two thumbnails, or use At the start, At the end or After every page.
- Save. Press Insert pages, rename the result if you like and download it.
Blank pages that fit in
New blank pages copy the size and orientation of the page they follow, so a landscape spreadsheet page gets a landscape blank and a Letter document gets Letter blanks. If you prefer a fixed size, choose A4 or Letter. Adding a blank after every page is handy for printed drafts that need room for notes, and for double sided printing where each page must start on a new sheet. You can insert up to 20 blank pages in one go.

Inserting another PDF or an image
When you insert a PDF, all of its pages go in at the chosen spot, in their original order, with text, links and quality intact. Need only some of its pages? Extract them first. When you insert an image, it is centered on a page the size of its neighbors with a small margin, and turned to landscape when the photo is wider than tall, or it can get a page exactly the size of the image instead.
Your files stay on your device
Both files are opened and combined by your own browser with pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to our servers and nothing is stored, so the tool is safe for contracts, applications, statements and other private documents. Password protected files need their password removed first.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose where the new pages go?
Click the plus sign between two page thumbnails, or pick At the start, At the end or After page in the options. The highlighted gap shows exactly where the new pages will be inserted.
What size are the blank pages?
By default they copy the size and orientation of the page next to them, so they blend in. You can also choose A4 or Letter.
Can I insert a whole PDF into another PDF?
Yes. Choose Pages from a file and pick the second PDF. All of its pages are inserted at the chosen position, in their original order and quality.
Can I add a photo or scan as a page?
Yes. Pick a JPG, PNG or WebP image. It can be fitted onto a page the size of its neighbors with a small margin, or placed on a page exactly the size of the image.
Why add a blank page after every page?
It leaves room for handwritten notes when the file is printed, and it makes sure every page starts on a new sheet when printing on both sides.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Both files are read and combined in your browser with pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to a server or stored.
