Private by design

Page tools such as merge, split, rotate, reorder, crop and edit work on your own computer or phone, so the document is never uploaded. Only four tasks that need a full PDF engine use our server: compression, repair, linearization and grayscale conversion. Those files travel over an encrypted connection and are deleted right after processing.

Tips for the best result

Organize before you label: merge, reorder and delete pages first, then add page numbers or a header and footer so the numbering matches the final order.
Compress last, once every other change is done, so you only shrink the final version and can compare the sizes before you download.
For a scanned PDF, run PDF OCR before you edit text, because a scan is only a picture of the page.
Whiteout only covers content. To remove private details for good, use Redact PDF instead.

Frequently asked questions

Will editing reduce the quality of my PDF?

No. Page tools move and copy pages as they are, so text stays sharp and searchable. Only Compress PDF resamples images, and you choose the compression level.

Can I edit a PDF on my phone?

What is the difference between Rearrange PDF Pages and Organize PDF?

Rearrange PDF Pages does one job: changing the page order. Organize PDF also rotates, duplicates and removes pages on the same board, which is handy when a document needs several fixes at once.
