Three size options let you balance detail visibility with how many thumbnails fit on screen at once. Small thumbnails pack more pages into viewport, which helps when working with lengthy docs where you need to see many pages simultaneously. Medium size provides good balance for most situations with enough detail to identify pages while still showing reasonable number at once. Large thumbnails display most detail, making text and small elements easier to see when you need to verify page content carefully. Change sizes instantly using zoom buttons in toolbar. Interface automatically adjusts grid layout to fit new thumbnail dimensions.
Moving pages around uses simple drag and drop gestures that feel natural and immediate. Click and hold on any page thumbnail, then drag it to wherever you want it in sequence. As you drag, other pages shift aside to show where page will land when you release. Drop page in its new position and everything adjusts instantly with pages renumbering automatically. Can drag pages across multiple rows or columns, jump them from beginning to end of doc, or make small adjustments to swap adjacent pages. Visual feedback makes it impossible to lose track of what you're doing even when moving pages long distances through doc.
Scanned docs often end up with some pages rotated incorrectly, especially when scanning mixed portrait and landscape pages or when automatic rotation detection gets confused. Click rotate button on any page to spin it 90 degrees clockwise. Click multiple times to reach orientation you need, with four clicks bringing you back to starting position. Thumbnail rotates immediately so you can see result. Page rotation applies to actual PDF output, not just preview, so final doc will have properly oriented pages. Feature saves you from having to rotate pages in PDF viewer after export or manually fixing orientation during scanning.
Sometimes need same page to appear multiple times in doc. Maybe you want summary page to show up at both beginning and end, or perhaps you need multiple copies of form for printing. Click duplicate button on any page to create exact copy that appears immediately after original. Duplicate inherits any rotation you applied to source page. Can duplicate same page multiple times by clicking repeatedly or duplicating different duplicates. Each copy remains fully independent, so you can reorder or rotate duplicates separately from original. Duplicated pages contribute to total page count and appear in final exported PDF wherever you position them.
Remove pages you don't need with single click on delete button. Page disappears immediately from layout with remaining pages shifting to fill gap. Page numbers update automatically to reflect new sequence. Deleted pages don't appear in exported PDF, making feature perfect for removing cover pages, blank pages, irrelevant sections, or content you accidentally scanned. Be careful since deletion happens immediately without confirmation prompts for single pages. Tool assumes you know what you want to delete. If you accidentally remove wrong page, use reset button to reload original page order and start over.
Bulk operations save time when you need to perform same action on multiple pages. Click checkbox on any page to select it, then click additional checkboxes to build selection. Selected pages show red highlight so you always know what you have chosen. Select All button instantly selects every page in doc, useful when you want to delete most pages and keep just few. Deselect All clears selection to start fresh. With multiple pages selected, Delete button in toolbar removes all selected pages at once. This bulk deletion proves invaluable when removing large sections or cleaning up lengthy scanned docs with many unwanted pages.
Reverse button flips entire doc sequence instantly, making last page first and first page last. Comes in handy more often than you might think. Docs scanned with automatic document feeder sometimes come out backwards because scanner pulls pages from bottom of stack. Reversing order fixes this immediately without manually dragging every single page. Might also use reverse when you want to present info in opposite chronological order or when combining docs that need to go in different sequence. Operation happens instantly regardless of doc length, and you can reverse again to go back to previous order if needed.
Reset button restores pages to their original uploaded sequence, undoing all reordering you have done. Provides safety net when you experiment with different arrangements and want to start over from scratch. Reset doesn't undo deletions or duplications though, only page order itself. If you delete pages before resetting, they stay deleted. Same goes for duplicated pages which remain in doc. Think of reset as way to undo your drag and drop reordering specifically rather than complete undo of all changes. Keep this distinction in mind so you understand what reset will and won't restore.
When using list view, up and down arrow buttons appear next to each page for precise sequential reordering. Click up arrow to move page one position earlier in sequence or down arrow to shift it one position later. These controls work perfectly when you need to nudge pages just spot or two rather than dragging them long distances. Arrows disable when they would move page beyond doc boundaries, so up arrow stays inactive on first page and down arrow does nothing on last page. This incremental movement gives fine control that complements freeform drag and drop approach.
Click eye icon on any page to open large preview in modal overlay. This zoomed view shows full page detail much more clearly than small thumbnail, letting you read text, examine images, verify content. Preview helps when you need to identify pages by their content rather than just visual appearance. Maybe looking for specific chart, page with particular info, or trying to distinguish between similar-looking pages. Click outside preview or press escape to close it and return to main editing view. Preview shows page at its current rotation, so you see exactly how it will appear in final PDF.
Every action you take updates interface instantly, providing immediate confirmation that changes registered. Drag page and watch others shift aside. Rotate and see thumbnail spin. Delete and see pages collapse to fill gap. This real-time feedback prevents confusion that comes from delayed updates or batch processing. Always know current state of doc and can verify each change as you make it. Page number overlays update automatically as you reorder, helping track position changes. While thumbnails generate in background, placeholder boxes with loading spinners show processing continues. Text "Generating thumbnails" appears in toolbar to confirm background work is happening. Don't have to wait for everything to complete before beginning work. Occasionally page thumbnail might fail to generate due to unusual page content, corruption, or processing hiccups. Failed thumbnails show alert icon and "Preview failed" text instead of page image. Don't worry, this doesn't mean page itself has problems or won't appear in exported PDF. Just means thumbnail preview failed to render. Actual page content remains intact and will export normally. Can still reorder, rotate, duplicate, or delete pages even without thumbnails since page numbers let you track position. Failed thumbnails happen rarely but knowing they don't indicate data loss prevents unnecessary concern.
Once you finish reorganizing pages, click Export PDF button to generate final doc. Tool processes PDF on server, reordering pages according to your arrangement, applying any rotations you set, building clean output file. Processing usually takes just seconds for most docs. Loading indicator on export button shows processing is happening. When complete, reordered PDF downloads automatically with filename that includes "reordered" so you can distinguish it from original. Exported file is standard PDF that opens in any PDF reader with pages in new sequence you created.
