How to put both sides of an ID card on one page
Banks, landlords, employers, schools and government offices often ask for a copy of an ID card with both sides on one page. Without a photocopier that usually means awkward scanning and editing. WoowPDF's ID Card to PDF tool does it in seconds from two phone photos: it finds the card in each picture, straightens it, and places the front and back at their exact real size on one A4 or Letter page, ready to print, email or upload. Everything runs in your browser, so your identity document never leaves your device.
How to make an ID card copy with both sides
- Add both sides. Choose a photo or scan of the front and one of the back, or a single 2-page PDF. On a phone, you can take the photos directly with the camera.
- Check the crop. Each side is detected, cropped and straightened automatically. Rotate a side, swap front and back, or adjust the four corners by hand if needed.
- Choose the layout. Pick the card size, A4 or Letter paper, front above back or side by side, the number of copies, cut guides and the photocopy look.
- Download and print. Click Create ID card PDF, then print at 100 % / Actual size.
Exact physical size
A copy that is too big or too small can be rejected. WoowPDF places standard ID-1 cards, the format used by most national ID cards, driving licences, residence permits and bank cards, at exactly 85.6 × 54 mm, and passport data pages at 125 × 88 mm. You can also enter any custom size in millimetres. To keep that size on paper, select 100 % or Actual size in your print dialog instead of Fit to page. The optional JPG output is saved at 300 dpi with the correct print resolution.
Straight, clean images from phone photos
Photos taken on a table are rarely straight. The tool detects the edges of the card against the background and corrects the perspective, so a card photographed at an angle becomes a flat, rectangular copy. For the best result, place the card on a darker surface and avoid reflections. If detection is off, the corner editor lets you drag each corner onto the card precisely.
Layouts, copies and photocopy look
Put the front above the back for a classic photocopy layout, or side by side to save space. Print one, two or four sets per page, handy when several forms need a copy, and turn on dashed cut guides to cut them out neatly. The photocopy option converts everything to grayscale with a touch of extra contrast, matching the black-and-white copies many offices request.
Private by design
Identity documents are among the most sensitive files you have. Unlike many online converters, WoowPDF does not upload them: cropping, straightening and PDF creation all happen locally in your browser, and nothing is stored or sent anywhere.
Tips for the best result
- Photograph each side in good, even light, filling most of the frame with the card, and avoid glare on laminated surfaces.
- Need to add a watermark such as "Copy for bank account opening only"? Use Add watermark to PDF on the result.
- Combine the copy with other documents using Merge PDF, and protect it with a password before emailing.
- Scanning multi-page documents such as contracts or letters? Use Scan to PDF.
- Want to hide your ID number or photo in a copy you share? Use Redact PDF.

Frequently asked questions
How do I put the front and back of my ID card on one page?
Add a photo or scan of the front and one of the back (or a 2-page PDF). WoowPDF crops and straightens both sides, places them at real card size on one A4 or Letter page, and you download the PDF.
Will the card print at its real size?
Yes. Cards are placed at their exact physical size, 85.6 × 54 mm for standard ID and bank cards. In the print dialog choose 100 % or Actual size, never Fit to page, and the printout will match the real card.
Is it safe to use with my ID card?
Yes. All processing happens in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to a server, stored or shared.
Can I use photos from my phone?
Yes. Put the card on a darker surface and take a photo of each side. The tool finds the card, removes the background and straightens it even if the photo was taken at an angle. You can fine-tune the four corners by hand.
Which card sizes are supported?
ID-1, the size of most national ID cards, driving licences, residence permits, Aadhaar and PAN cards and bank cards (85.6 × 54 mm); passport data pages (125 × 88 mm); and any custom size in millimetres.
Can I print several copies on one page?
Yes. Choose 1, 2 or 4 copies per page. Dashed cut guides help you cut the cards out neatly.
What does the photocopy option do?
It converts both sides to grayscale with a little extra contrast, so the result looks like a black-and-white photocopy, which many banks, schools and offices ask for.
Can I get a JPG instead of a PDF?
Yes. Choose JPG or PDF + JPG. The JPG is a 300 dpi image of the whole page, tagged so it prints at the correct size.
My scan is one PDF with two pages. Does that work?
Yes. Add the PDF and its first page is used as the front and the second as the back. Use Swap if they are the wrong way round.
Do I need to crop the images first?
No. Cropping is automatic. If the card is not detected correctly, open the crop tool for that side and drag the corners onto the card.
